Troy Indiana Solar Farm Reveals Solar Companies Hiding The Truth

I recently discovered a local Zoning Board in Southern Indiana approved a Solar Farm Proposal that will use 1,439.23 acres of farmland, to install 276.81 acres of Solar Panels. This proposal was approved, without discovering the company making the solar panels has a history of lying about faulty panels and the Solar Developer has no visible history of previously installing a solar farm.

My primary goal, is checking on the companies that are behind the development. Since they are making promises for the next 20 to 40 years, there are multiple sources of information needed. How long have they been in business? Who owns and/or runs the business? What connections do the CEO and various board members have with executives from other companies or elected government officials? Has the company or their executives been involved in any LAWSUITS or complaints?

In addition to researching the solar developer, it is also VERY important to investigate who will be making the solar panels AND the components used. A good research venue on the solar panels, is to investigate lawsuits or complaints against the solar panel manufacturer.

This can be time consuming because big tech and news media tries to cover for ALL of the green energy companies, therefore sometimes we will not be able to find out if a company has faulty panels until SEVEN to TEN YEARS after the solar panels have been installed and then only AFTER a lawsuit is filed.

One example of problems being hidden is the case of Tesla buying a company by the name of SolarCity in 2016. Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla and was also the largest shareholder and chairman of Solar City, with his first cousins in the executive suite.

Between 2012 and 2017, Solar Panels installed and maintained by SolarCity caused fires at 3 Walmart Stores and WE the American Public did NOT hear about these fires when they occurred.

Between March and May of 2018, 3 more Walmart stores that had SolarCity Panels experienced roof fires.

November 29,2018, Walmart discovers roof fire from a DISCONNECTED Solar Panel System due to degrated insulation.

August 20, 2019, Walmart files a lawsuit against Tesla. There were also lawsuits against Tesla from Amazon due to a roof fire on one of their warehouses, as well as various insurance companies attempting to recover money they paid for loses incurred by homeowners that also had roof fires caused by Tesla Solar Panels.

It seems that possibly as much as a year before the lawsuits from Walmart, Tesla had already discovered faulty parts within their panels and had begun a nationwide operation called “Project Titan,” that would quietly replace defective solar panel parts, such as connectors and optimizers. These are components which regulate the amount of energy and heat that flows to a solar panel which ensures that they don’t overheat, which could easily result in a fire.

All of this information was hidden from us.

The importance of this story is that if it was not for fires on multiple Walmart Stores, we the American Public would most likely never have found out about the faulty parts used in these Solar Panels.

But that is not the end of the story.

While researching a Proposed Solar Farm in Troy Indiana that has been in the works for three years, we tracked down the name of the company making the Solar Panels. It is First Solar.

Our research on First Solar, revealed several of their top executives stepped down after fines were imposed by the SEC. There was also a lawsuit filed by investors claiming First Solar made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose the full impact of certain manufacturing flaws on the Company’s earnings reports, thus causing the stock price to drop.

If it had not been for lawsuits against First Solar from investors, we may never have discovered First Solar had a problem with their Solar Panels that could not stand up under the heat of the sun in desert areas, or that the company did not seem to have a problem with hiding the truth from the public or investors.

We continued our research by digging into Orion Renewable Energy Group LLC , the company that is Developing the Solar Project. Michael A. Haas from Oakland California, is the person behind the group and the founder. We also found out that he is the person behind multiple other companies such as:
Orion Renewable Resources LLC
Orion Energy Group LLC
Orion Renewable Holdings LLC
Orion Wind Resources LLC
Orion Power Generation, LLC
Alliance for Climate Education, Inc
Reh3 Holdings, LLC
K4 Wind Power, LLC
as well as several other companies located in multiple states and at least 5 companies that are no longer active, however we could not find any records of the companies listed as having a history of installing a Solar Farm.

In researching these companies, we discovered Orion Energy, LLC was acquired by BP Alternative Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of BP, one of the world’s largest energy companies.

Additional research revealed that a settlement was reached in a class action lawsuit against BP Solar and Home Depot, involving solar panels manufactured between 1999 and 2007. The lawsuit claimed the panels are defective and prone to junction box failures which could cause burn marks at the junction box, shattered glass and a potential FIRE HAZARD.

So again, we are finding out about defective solar panels being a potential Fire Hazard, years after they were installed, and only as a result of a lawsuit. Again, we have Solar Companies hiding the truth about faulty solar panels.

You might also check the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission Website at https://www.cpsc.gov for reports relating to recalls of faulty parts from Solar Panel Component Manufactures and/or wholesale outlets.

One example is on February 7, 2019, a company called DELTA ELECTRONICS recalled THOUSANDS of Solar Inverters that were “posing a FIRE and IMPACT HAZARD.” These components were originally made in CHINA and sold in the USA between 2012 and 2017. It took up to 7 years for this information to be discovered and released to the public.

It turns out the capacitors inside these Solar Inverters can fail and allow heat to build up. Keep in mind we are being told the “electronics” inside these panels that are making electricity, will last 20 to 40 years, out in the cold, rain, snow, hail, tornadoes and any other type of storms.

A new central Air Conditioning Unit is only guaranteed for 10 years, but we are expected to believe a Solar Panel generating electricity and filled with Toxic Chemicals, will last 20 to 40 years? With the news last year relating to NEW cellphones heating up and causing fires, I sure wouldn’t expect them to last 20+ years out in the weather.

The bottom line here is people lie and many times the people behind companies will lie in order to protect their profits. Therefore we can NOT take the word of anyone, especially when it comes to money, safety and our families.

So, to ALL zoning board members and the citizens living in any area where a Solar Developer is proposing to install Solar Farms around residential homes, please do your research into every company, especially when it comes to promises made that you may have to live with for the next 20 to 30 years.

And PLEASE share any information you have gathered on ANY Solar Company with the people at Stop Solar Farms, so they can share it with others all around the globe.
