After clamoring since early January to educate myself on the solar energy industry and policing our town board, now that everything is shut down, I've had a chance to catch my breath.

I was talking to a gentleman last week who owns an environmental cleanup company and has come face-to-face with the dark side of solar energy. He was asking specifically what farmers in the township have signed leases?

I said, "That's the crazy thing... I can't figure out who they are. Since I've gone public none of the farmers, except for one, has come out of the woodwork. I can't figure out what's keeping them so quiet."

His speculation is that each farmer was paid a signing bonus. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was as high at $10,000.00!"

If they were paid signing bonuses, did it also include a nod and a wink from the Ranger Power people that they keep quiet until it's confirmed this industrial solar farm is definitely being built?

This inquiring mind wants to know!
