Hi Ruth! That is just awful! How far after construction is this, and do you know what type of soil it is please?

This is also what a farm can look like after rain... I'm referring to a field of grass

People don’t realize that when a solar farm goes in, there is no where for the water to go. Every anchor that goes into the ground 6-8 feet will destroy field tile that helps drainage. Without field tile, you will have erosion. Water would normally hit the ground and soak into the soil. With solar panels, rain would hit the panels and run off the panels in a area that will erode. Imagine a big building with no rain gutter. You would have a trench with ponding and or erosion.

For those who are not educated, field tile is drainage, not flooring tile

there is a study often referred to by solar developers called Hydrologic Response of Solar Farms, 2013. However they often fail to quote this part of it "...the kinetic energy of the water draining from the solar panel could be as much as 10 times greater than that of rainfall. Thus, because the energy of the water draining from the panels is much higher, it is very possible that soil below the base of the solar panel could erode owing to the concentrated flow of water off the panel."

Channelized run off from panels doesn't enter ground water if by a stream.

Big concern should be the topsoil loss along with it!

Stop solar in residential areas they’re extremely dangerous and full of dangerous chemicals that caused cancer and poison the soil and water
