try calling an appraiser from a neighboring county that would be unaware of the proposed plant. You don’t want them to be bias at all so it’s best they don’t know. I wouldn’t tell them until they emailed you the appraisal. Then I’d call them up and record the phone call and ask, “Now, what would you think of the value of my house was surrounded on 2, 3, or all 4 sides by a power plant and my aesthetic view will be 6’ chain link with barbed wire and 15’ solar panels?”
