Post by lbruning »

New York State Climate Action Council is allowing public comment at this week's advisory panel meetings. Please email ClimateAct@dec.ny.gov and speak at the zoom meetings to inform the CAC how solar and wind development and legislation is impacting rural New York landowners. Your input will help form upcoming legislation. Speak up now!

Lynne Bruning I know this is off topic but The problem we have is our States are trying to take away local county governments rights and mandating solar facilities (I will not call them a farm because they are not) can go anywhere. Florida residents have a proposed bill that is trying to do just that. The bill has not protection what so ever for a bond or mandating decommissioned or reclamation requirements or environment protections. Florida SB 856. https://flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/ ... Hyg#page=1
Indiana has a proposed bill as well.
